From modest beginnings in 1993, The Friends have been able to make grants totaling over £30,000 towards the maintenance of the church, to assist with the following work:
Renovating the sign-boards outside the church.
Improvements to the audio system.
Repair to dangerous stonework of the south porch.
Improvements to the choir stalls.
Re-hanging of the bells.
Essential repairs to the tower.
Repair of the churchyard cross.
Energy efficient lighting in the church.
Repairs to stained-glass windows.
Replacement locks on the church gates.
Protective grilles to the windows.
Plumbing including water saving taps.
Repairs to the north door.
Improvements to the north and south tower gardens
Provision of heating in the sacristy
Further improvements to the audio system
Painting of west gates and railings
Repairs to the window tracery
Provision of cushions for the pews
Repairs to the tower roof door
Replacement of boiler-house door
Safety floodlights for the churchyard
Removal of asbestos
Replacement hand dryers
Letterbox for the church
Provision of disabled access ramp
Installation of new heating plant
Provision of security lighting
